NUTRITIONAL STASTUS AND THE PREVALENCE OF ANEMIA OF PATIENTS ADMITTED TO PSYCHIATRIC HOSPITAL OF THAI BINH PROVINCE

Abstract
Objectives: This study was to identify the prevalence of malnutrition, the prevalence
of overweight and the prevalence of anemia of patients of Psychiatric hospital of Thai
Binh province. Subjects: 194 patients admitted to Psychiatric hospital of Thai Binh
province were enrolled in the investigation. The subjects were classified as being malnourished using anthropometric method when body mass index less than 18.5. Methods:
The epidemiological descriptive method using cross - sectional survey. Results: The prevalence of undernutrition (BMI<18.5) was 17%. The prevalence of overweight (BMI >25)
was 15.5%. The prevalence of anemia was 30.9%.
