Abstract

The research is conducted to test the nutrition monitoring and surveillance system using digital technology 4.0 within the framework of the state-level project KC 4.0-13/19-25 "Research on building a intelligence nutrition monitoring, surveillance and consulting system for Vietnamese people and some patient groups". The testing was conducted at the Center for Disease Control (CDC) Hai Phong. Hai Phong CDC nutrition officers used the 2023 annual surveillance data to enter and export reports on the newly built system. The system's operating results are then synthesized and evaluated through interviewing testing staff and comparing the indicators. The results show that the surveillance system has ensured completeness and accuracy, but needs improvement in the interface and data input features. The new system is slower to enter but reports results immediately. However, some formulas for calculating infant and young child feeding indicators need to be rechecked. It is necessary to add a warning label feature when the data is below or exceeds the threshold or there are abnormalities.
