NUTRITIONAL STATUS IN TUBERCULOSIS PATIENTS HOSPITALIZED IN THAI BINH LUNG HOSPITAL IN 2017

Abstract
In a descriptive epidemiological study, 127 tuberculosis patients examined and treated
from September 2017 to December 2017 at Thai Binh Lung Hospital was recruited to assess nutrition. It was found that weight at discharge increased compared to the point of
admission in the hospital. The rate of malnutrition classified by BMI at discharge was reduced in both age groups compared to admission. According to SGA method, 18.9% of
patients were at risk of malnutrition and 33.9% of patients had malnutrition. 7.85% of patients had a protein index of <60 g/l , 83.5% of patients with a protein index of 60-80 g/l
and 8.7% of patients with a protein index> 80 g/l; 33.1% of patients had albumin index
28 - <35 g/l, 66.9% had albumin index <28 g/l.
