CARDIOVASCULAR RISK AMONG HEALTH MANAGEMENT STAFF AT THE HEALTH CARE PROTECTION DEPARTMENT OF THAI BINH PROVINCE IN 2024

Abstract
Aims: This study aims to evaluate the 10-year cardiovascular risk among health management personnel under the supervision of the Health Care Protection Department of Thai Binh Province in 2024.
Methods: A cross-sectional study was conductedm using secondary data from medical records of people aged 40-60 years who were managed by the Thai Binh Provincial Health Care Department and had a periodic health examination in December 2024. Cardiovascular risk was estimated using the SCORE_VN and SCORE_VNDM2 tools.
Results: The average of percentage note of cardiovascular risk score for 10 years was 4.9±2.9% in men, significantly higher than 2.3±1.7% in women (p<0.001), increasing trend by age. Risk stratification revealed that 53.1% of participants were classified as low to moderate risk, 42.1% as high risk, and 4.8% as very high risk.
Conclusion: The 10-year cardiovascular risk among this workforce was relatively high, particularly in males and older age groups. These findings underscore the necessity for regular cardiovascular risk screening, targeted interventions for high-risk individuals, enhanced health communication strategies, and the integration of cardiovascular risk management into the routine occupational health care system.
