NUTRITIONAL STATUS OF ANOREXIC CHILDREN AGED 25-60 MONTHS ATTENDING HEALTH CHECK DEPARTMENT OF THAI BINH PEDIASTRIC IN 2016

Abstract
Objective: To determine nutritional status of anorexia children from 25 to 60 months attending Health check department of Thai Binh Pediatric hospital in 2016. Methods: Descriptive cross-sectional study design, using clinical examination and questionnaire to determine nutritional status of anorexic children. Results: The proportion of underweight children was accounted for 15.1%, stunting was accounted for 12.3%, and wasting was accounted for 12.3%. Upto 1.1% of the children was overweight. The highest rate of underweight was found among anorexic children with food conversion, which was 18.9%. The highest rate of stunting was found in those with unknown cause, accounting for 15.7%. The prevalence of wasting was highest in the anorexia group due to food conversion, accounting for 15.1%. The prevalence of underweight, stunting and wasting was highest in the 25-36 months old group and lowest in the 49-60 month old group.
