FOOD SAFETY CONDITIONS AT PRESCHOOL KITCHEN FACILITIES IN THAI BINH CITY IN 2018

Abstract

This research investigated 43 preschool kitchen facilities in Thai Binh city in 2018 to
describe food safety conditions at these collective facilities. The results showed that the
rate of kitchens with satisfactory facilities was 23.3%. 53.5% of them met the standard
conditions for equipment and tools; 69.8% met the conditions for people directly processing food; 81.4% of the facilities met the criteria for source of raw materials and food additives and 90.7% met the criteria for storing food samples. These schools need to pay
more attention to upgrading, renovating and supplementing annual equipment and facilities at collective kitchens.
