NUTRITION STATUS OF PATIENTS CHECKING UP AT HOSPITAL 19-8

Abstract
Using research descriptive method on 309 (180 males, 219 females) patients who visited
hospital 19-8 to assess nutritional status through BMI, the study showed that the rate of
malnutrition among the patients in our study was 8.1% of which CED grade 1 was 1%,
CED grade 2 was 1.3%, CED grade 3 was 5.8% and overweight/obesity was 5.9%. The
rate of cancer patients having malnutrition was 56%; Overweight in diabetes mellitus
type 2 was 30.6%. The difference in underweight and overweight by gender, age, occupation and pathological status was not statistically significant (p> 0.05).
